BANGLADESH-NEPAL WITH INDIA OR AGAINST ?

TRADE RELATIONS

India’s imports from Nepal are juice, oil cakes, jutes goods, handicrafts, noodles, woollen carpet, cardamom, readymade garments, polyester yarn and tea.

India and Nepal have had the most progressive relation in the South Asia with open borders and free intermingling of people less tax and fidelity among each other. seems like a European vision.

REPAIRING THE DAMAGES

India has begun to reach its two important neighbours Nepal and Bangladesh with whom relations have been uneven in the recent months

Prime minister Narendra Modi and his Nepal counterpart Khadka Prasad Sharma Oli spoke with each other on the issue of terrestrial spat over the lipulekh- limpiyadhura-kalapani trijunction.

India has tended to take for granted neighbours with whom it has had traditionally good relations, soo much so that even seasoned foreign policy and then the ministry of external affairs appears to have failed to anticipate the Nepal’s concern about India’s new map last year would escalate, or that the CAA( citizenship Amendment Act 2019, would provoke problems with Bangladesh.

Not only Nepal and Bangladesh are facing trading and political problems with India, in fact other south asian countries are also impatience for not seeing it India’s way.

To undo this problems and situations with neighbours India has to repair its ties that requires the recognition that each nation is an equal irrespective of size and has its own agency. As the biggest country in the region India must show generosity and magnanimous nature towards its neighbour that has been missing for too long. This has to be constant continuous not in a reaction with Chinese international moves.

This would be very beneficial for India as well as it’s neighbouring countries because this is the time in which Corporating and aiding each other is the best known formula to cope up with recession or depression like situation.
